Founded in 1954, the school is named after Colgate Whitehead Darden, Jr., one of the school's greatest advocates and former Virginia governor, congressman, and president of UVA.
Darden's faculty have been consecutively ranked the number one in the Princeton Review. the 50 year old First Coffee tradition allows students, faculty, staff and visitors to socialize every morning. Darden has an exceptional focus on ethics in business, as promoted by Olsson Center for Applied Ethics and Business Roundtable Institute for Corporate Ethics.
